Also, if documents are served to us on your behalf, you will be billed for the cost to deliver the original documents to you. Since we email you the documents and upload them to your Client Account, we are able to use less expensive shipping methods (such as Fed Ex Ground and USPS) to keep costs low.
Many companies opt for a Corporate Registered Agent for several reasons, including, but not limited to, the following:
Privacy – a business may operate out of a residential address, and the business owner does not want their home address publicly listed with the State
Peace of Mind – a business owner would like to avoid, if at all possible, service of process taking place at their business in front of their employees
Compliance – a business owner may prefer to have the Registered Agent handle the annual compliance and filing responsibilities so they can focus on running their business
Avoid Penalties and Suspension – Statement of Information filings are required in California (similar annual reports are also required in other states). Failure to file timely results in high penalties and often suspension of corporations and LLCs. A Registered Agent will notify the business owner when filings are due, and often, as is in our case, file the reports for the business and bill back the filing fees.
